Read the latest note in context
A newer note can supersede earlier advice: FSR was temporarily disabled in #18 and restored in #19. #20 prevents new ghost patrols while retaining an older-save cleanup caveat. #21's loading-crash correction remains tentative.

Patch Notes #21
- A potential fix targets the major crash while loading a save; the developer asks affected players to retry and provide saves if it persists.
- Thrown-away trash now counts toward the Clean up the Police Station mission as intended.
Update and try the same save before any cache workaround. Because the developer still struggles to reproduce the crash, this site's save-load issue remains MONITORING, not universally fixed.
Patch Notes #20
- Some load-time errors, garage NPC navigation and incorrect Worker Management Board lockouts were corrected.
- New ghost-patrol occurrences were addressed, but cleanup of already affected saves was explicitly still in progress.
- Registration-form orientation, ultrawide death screens and the Holding Cells tutorial marker were corrected.
- Photos and evidence gained disposal through the Trash Can/Garbage Truck.
Prevention of a new ghost patrol does not mean an existing ghost assignment has been removed from a save. Preserve that distinction when reporting.
Patch Notes #19
- FSR and DLSS were re-enabled, with unsupported graphics cards blocked from enabling DLSS.
- Vehicle-exit lockout while carrying a trash can and handcuff duplication after calling prison transport were corrected.
- Room sound occlusion improved and two delivery vehicles may now arrive together.
- Asset optimization continued; no frame-rate gain was quantified.
On a supported card, check the current upscaling options again. A universal crash cure is not established merely by restoring FSR.
Patch Notes #18
- FSR was temporarily disabled after crash reports; unsupported-card DLSS activation was corrected.
- Placement mode gained NPC-facing indicators for fax, shredder and paper shelves; shelf interactions improved.
- Missing worker lockers that could not be rebuilt and rare file-cabinet pickup failures were addressed.
- Deleting guns with the Trash Can no longer triggers the specified armory duplication problem.
Do not use this historical note to claim FSR remains disabled: #19 re-enabled it the next day. Keep the cabinet pickup fix distinct from case-board objectives.
Patch Notes #17
- Meshes and traffic near the station were optimized. Search-dropped items can despawn over time, with station/motel items excluded in the note.
- Registration forms gained a clearer appearance; bug reports attach a freshly created autosave.
- Lost and Found and its tutorial were added; unintended broom destruction by the Trash Can was addressed.
- Missing vehicles after dispatch and future blocked-vehicle returns gained corrections and a garage-return failsafe.
Use Lost and Found and the newer dispatch recovery behavior before assuming permanent loss. No exact despawn timer or guaranteed recovery of every older save is stated.
Patch Notes #16
- Officers failing to fill paperwork and other worker behaviors were corrected.
- Deceased officers not being removed properly from employment were corrected.
- Post-patrol stuck vehicles were corrected; NPC device access visuals and fax/shredder interaction points improved.
Check the assignment and access side of the device as well as employment status; a worker issue can outlive a blocked vehicle problem.
Patch Notes #15
- The Supply & Demand handcuff objective and handcuff-board placement mode were corrected.
- Loose weapon/item physics received small optimizations.
- In-game crash and bug reporters were added.
The handcuff mission fix concerns its objective and placement interaction, not a newly verified weapon statistic. Use the reporter to supply reproducible context.
Patch Notes #14
- Excess armory gear generation was addressed.
- Detective workstation file interactions and files floating above desks were corrected.
- Infraction markers follow the NPC rather than the abandoned car; the one-UPS placement restriction was corrected.
- The player Trash Bin gained removal of duplicated pistols, shotguns and handcuffs.
The developer offers a cleanup action for duplicate equipment. Later #18 and #19 correct separate duplication triggers; do not collapse them into one universal resolved bug.
Patch Notes #13
- Delivery vehicles and the prison bus no longer receive inappropriate infractions.
- The police-car return radius near the station was adjusted as a tentative vehicle-unavailable correction; wider-world recovery was still being worked on.
- Unsupported graphics cards were prevented from enabling DLSS/Nvidia Reflex; nonfunctional item interactions lost untranslated labels.
For the historical vehicle workaround, the developer specified proximity to the station, preferably the garage. Later #16/#17 vehicle fixes are more recent.
Patch Notes #12
- FSR and DLSS behavior received corrections.
- Officer deaths on missions became less likely and responding police vehicles gained emergency lights.
- A traffic-reset button was added to the pause menu.
- Speed-gun reload time decreased and battery capacity increased; exact new values were not given.
The upscaling entry was superseded by #18/#19. Use the pause-menu traffic reset for traffic, not as a claimed repair for every dispatch or save problem.
Patch Notes #11
- Station NPCs sinking into the floor were addressed.
- Getting trapped in Holding Cells was made harder.
- Six recruitable officers were added.
The cell change is not an unconditional guarantee against every lock-in. The added recruits do not establish a complete roster or staff ranking.
Patch Notes #10
- Expanded-case pickup and board-placement objectives now recognize Documents Box use.
- Returned dispatch cars missing from the Briefing Board were corrected.
- Siren-light changes were reverted; computer focus/ESC exit, options persistence and localization received corrections.
Retest the exact Documents Box objective. A returned car missing from the board is not the same as a car still blocked out in the world.
Patch Notes #9
- Workers remaining on the sidewalk after their shifts were corrected.
- Clinic respawns inside a wall were corrected.
- XP-bar display across menus was corrected.
An XP display correction does not document a new XP reward or fix every progression issue. Compare the affected menu before drawing a conclusion.
Patch Notes #8
- Idle officers restored inside vehicles and the expanded-case transport objective when using a Documents Box were corrected.
- HiredIn and management-board stat icons were corrected, including Briefing Room icons.
- Holding Cell workplace strength was corrected without publishing a numerical formula.
A Documents Box transfer can fail independently of placing a case on a board; the latter receives another correction in #10.
Patch Notes #7
- A vehicle-occupant restoration crash and the Holding Cells incorrect-case error were corrected.
- Returning patrol vehicles colliding or stacking, pickup search physics, station NPC interactions and leftover customer vehicles received fixes.
- Room-stat icons were added; the speed-unit toggle description and body searches on seated NPCs were corrected.
Update before retrying an incorrect-case handoff. The vehicle-restoration crash fix is narrower than the later general save-load crash investigation.
Patch Notes #6
- Armory weapon registration, floating files, ticket/dispatch text scaling, assignment-board icons and zoom, and options persistence received corrections.
- Briefing vehicle stacking and dispatches without officers were addressed; the item counter became clearer.
- Briefing officers can be assigned with the right mouse button as well as drag-and-drop. Stashing uses I and ammo use E in the documented defaults.
For a failed armory task, distinguish unregistered equipment from the later duplication problem. Board input additions are documented defaults, not a complete control chart.
Patch Notes #5
- A possible correction targeted NPCs obstructing the station exit; NPCs blocking the police van after leaving cells were also addressed.
- Accumulating electricity demand causing overloads was corrected.
- Rare blocked interactions after loading and foot-patrol prisoners sinking into the pavement were addressed.
Do not interpret the overload fix as unlimited transformer capacity. The station-exit item itself was worded tentatively.
Patch Notes #4
- Detectives ignoring occupied case shelves and registration workers operating away from their desks were corrected.
- NPC animation after rapid subduing and traffic stopping on small objects were addressed.
- Registration and level-0 station areas received minor environment corrections.
Check shelf occupancy and worker presence separately. The mention of level 0 does not establish a complete station-tier progression table.
Patch Notes #3
- Background processing received optimizations.
- Additional achievements and a music track were announced; individual new achievement IDs were not listed.
This short note provides no performance percentage or list of newly added unlocks. Use the dated Steam catalog for achievement objectives.
Patch Notes #2
- Map zoom was corrected.
- Some infractions now respond properly to vehicle sirens.
- Actions that triggered in the wrong circumstances were corrected.
Separate a missing zoom input from a dispatch failure, and a nonresponsive siren event from a driver intentionally fleeing.
Patch Notes #1
- Dispatched patrols returning and becoming stuck were corrected.
- Map layout, station reopening after power restoration, and detectives blocked from fax/shredder access received fixes.
- Small environment and art corrections were included.
Retry the specific return or power-restoration task; this early patch does not cover later ghost patrols or every staff obstruction.
